After World War 2 through the Cold War, Europe was divided into two political and economic bloc. Communist countries exist in Eastern Europe (East Block), while the Capitalist countries are in Western Europe. In 1989, the Eastern bloc crumbled whenthe collapse of Berlin Wall.

The geographical position of Russia that is in the Eastern European countries automatically put on the list of military power in Europe. In the map of European military powers, only Russia and Poland, two countries from Eastern Europe included in the list of 8 of the European countries with the strongest military.

The data below is a predicted number of combat power 8 countries in Continental Europe in 2020. This is the 8th Military Strongest in Europe, compiledwarzone123.com:

1. RUSSIA

If Turkey were in two geographical positions, Europe and Asia, then Russia too. Russian soil lies partly in Europe (East) and also in Asia (Northern). It was an advantage for Russia. Red Bear country, Russia, is the largest country in the world. Its territory covers an eighth of the Earth’s land area, population density and population number 9 in the world.

Strategic geographical location, the number of active personnel are numerous and well-trained, as well as upgrade weaponry on edge, creating the Russian military as the strongest in Europe and Asia-Pacific, as well as one of the best in the world. Beyond that, the key to the military power of Russia is on the availability of nuclear weapons, which can only be rivaledthe United States (US).

A study reveals, with a fighting force that possessedRussia at this time, if they would, then in just 3 days, the Russian military will occupy the three countries in the Baltic region, members of NATO at the eastern border of Europe (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia), without significant resistance. Even if the US strengthen the regionadding troops and heavy artillery such as tanks, then the costs are quite fantastic to measure the concentration of the border a year, which is about 2.7 billion US dollars.

In the world war 3 power list, Russia perched in 2nd place in the World’s Strongest Military 7, the position of unity to the 10 Military Strongest in Asia-Pacific, and in first place in 8 Military Strongest in Europe.

As well as the British military or the United Kingdom, the French military was quite tough in the ocean. It was markedthe existence of the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle who had been guarding the northwest region of France since 2001. The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier was able to park 40 fighter jets and helicopters, such as two fighter jets: Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard and Dassault Rafale M, as well as two types of mainstay helicopter: helicopter EC725 Caracal and AS532 Cougar.

France has its own production submarine capable of carrying ballistic missiles. The country also has a nuclear deterrent based air and ground using the French languagedesigning the Mirage 2000N bombers and missiles ASMP.

3. United Kingdom

United Kingdom Military (UK) or the Great Britain is the second largest in Western Europe after France. United Kingdom of Great Britain (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) is an ally (immortal) closest US.

In open war, almost impossible, the US did not support the UK. Vice versa. Allied UK who are members of NATO (especially France and Germany) was certainly not going to let UK fight alone in any event of a war involving the UK.

Although the present British military is not as tough as British Empire in the late 16th century ago, of which about a quarter of the total area of the earth into a colony at the time, the United Kingdom combat troops power now is obviously strong.

UK Royal Air Force fighter aircraft have about 200, about 100 over the air superiority fighter jets, such as Typhoon and Tornado 100. Air Force United Kingdom is reinforced with fighter jet F-35B Joint Strike Fighter.

In ground battles, the UK relying on its own production main battle tanks, Challenger 2.

However, nearly 30 years since the unification of Germany in 1990, many people assuming the current German military was dying. Dying, because of a number of prestigious projects that had been going since the 1980s, such as Jet Eurofighter Typhoon, Tornado fighter jets, Main Battle Tank (MBT) Leopard II, Rifle Attack HK417, and the establishment of 9 Battalion Panzergrenadier 371 – faced with fundamental problems. Not because incompetent creating advanced combat technology, but because of funding issues – for purposes of development, maintenance and availability of spare parts. Not surprisingly, if a fighting machine was reportedly grounded and reduced the amount of production – MBT Leopard II (Leopard IIA7), did not a translucent figure of 300 units in the ranks of the German land defense to this day. Even so, the latest news, the German military is now trying to develop (MBT) Leopard III.

Imagine, even still entangled in its condition, the German military is still rated as one of the best in Europe, even the world. Moreover, if the Germans managed to get out of their fundamental problem. Very likely, the German military will experience a leap of strength.

To be sure, the German military personnel will be increased significantly in the past seven years. Currently, at least 7,000 personnel and 4,400 civilian staff of the armed forces will be recruitedGerman military – the recruitment of new personnel plans that have been initiated since May 2016. The reason for the addition of thousands of troops to perform a variety of missions, including refugee rescue missions at sea, supporting coalition operations US combat against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, as well as operations against Islamist militants in Mali.

So once again, in spite of the problems mentioned above, Germany is now being pulled to enlarge its military force posture.

Two combat experience in the Great War: World War 1 and 2, makes the Italy military as one of the powerful militaries in Europe and even the world.

The problem is, if World War 3 broke out, then where is Italy will side? This question is justified because since the last World War 1 and World War 2, Italy was always so quick to change side, Italy became the most pragmatic among the military of other countries.

The latest news (January 10, 2017), the US eventually strengthened the main headquarters of NATO and the Polish air base, in the Southwest of the country. Under these conditions, then there can be no doubt that Poland has become one of the military forces in Europe (Eastern) that should not be underestimatedRussia.

7. Spain

Although the number of their active personnel did not exceed 200,000 soldiers, the Spanish military is one of the strongest military in Europe. Hundreds of tanks, dozens of warships and sophisticated fighter jets are continually updated and supplemented from time to time is a sign of Spanish military power as one of the strongest in Europe.

As part of NATO, Spain is more confident. Despite recently (April 2016), had an incidence of a Spanish ship that interferes with US nuclear submarines patrol when attempting to dock in Gibraltar – incidents that make British Royal Navy fired warning shots towards the Spanish ship Rio Cedena – England get Gibraltarthe Treaty of Utrecht in 1713, but now Spain still will not relinquish territory in their northern part – long issue that could be a potential internal feud in the body of NATO, if NATO members do not sit together completely resolve the problem.

Beyond that, the Spanish against the NATO military loyalty showedparticipating actively patrolling the air with the other NATO air forces, specifically in maintaining the Baltic (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia), from the concerns of Russian aggression.

8. Greece

State of the gods, Greek, so eager to strengthen its armed forces. In fact, the financial crisis experiencedthe country in 2008, almost makes this country collapse.

In the midst of the financial crisis, the Greek defense spending precisely to be the highest compared to the percentage of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) across Europe. In 2015, for a NATO project, Greece spent 2.4% of its GDP on defense.

In ground combat machines, the number of combat-ready tank Greek in 2015, even more than two-fold of English military (United Kingdom). In 2015, tanks Greece recorded 1,300 units.

The reason for the land of the gods to consistently enlarging its military budget from year to year is because of a classic issue that was raised again between Turkey and Greece. Fellow members of NATO’s like to compete in militarily, since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus (4 decades ago). The tension that had cooled it is then heated up in 2014, after the two countries competing for the oil and gas resources in the Mediterranean region.

A classic problem between Greece and Turkey is also one of the potential disagreements among member countries of NATO.

Beyond that, no matter what, the Greek military is into one of the strongest in Europe.

Strongest Military in Europe 2021

Map of military forces on the European continent is very interesting. Interesting, because in addition to the presence of Russia as the strongest in the continent blue, 7 others Europe countries are members of NATO. That is, Russia can not act recklessly further with reckless invaded three Baltic states, the new NATO ally. For if Russia reckless, then the automatic seven European countries in the list of 8 Strongest Military in Europe plus the US and other NATO, under US command, will act the same: Against Russia – this condition may be one trigger of the Great War the next – could it be the beginning of World War 3 countries?

Internal conflicts some NATO members, such as between Spain and the United Kingdom, as well as Greece and Turkey, like fire in the husk – if not wisely and quickly resolved – at any time it could break NATO.

Remarkably, despite Russia as ‘under siege’ in Europe, the land of the red bear seems to remain confident – do not fear the ranks of the NATO force that is now stacked near its borders.
